Turned on the TV and watched local newscasters and their remote Scripps News guy twist into pretzels saying #DOE isn’t closing, isn’t necessarily mortally wounded, but 1,000s are losing their jobs and funds intended to go to states is being held up. Eventually the Scripps guy got to, “I’m going to be watching the money. If all they’re doing is sending it to the States so they can run the programs, it might not have much impact.” Somebody told them to toe the line.
