Using AI tools when applying for jobs is an interesting dilemma.
You want to show your real skills, and companies would reject you for using too much of these tools. But AI tools also getting to be a common part of the toolset. Your ethics as a professional set your boundaries, while companies' boundaries might be elsewhere.
It's similar to using drugs in sport (including of using too much of certain tools is bad for your health?), but less rules.
This week's coaching reflection is all about stopping asking permission to do your job. If you're in a leadership role, you are there for a reason, not to ask others what you should do.

This week I’m teaching a masterclass on storytelling, pitching and getting buy-in for the Service Design Network Academy and we’re exploring classic story structures and also think about what journey our org or client is on.
Here are some thoughts about design taking a role as wise guide rather than being the hero of the story (even though our egos might like the idea of that).
Repeat after me. The belief that "minimalism is essential for logos on digital", is a myth. A bad band wagoning trend brought about my poor design maturity.
Design, at its core, is user-centric, creative problem solving. A great design leader applies their knowledge and experience to the advantage of their organization, identifying and meeting the needs of its customers. The design leader must understand how the organization works, and have the ability to tie design initiatives to business strategy.
