For our UK illustrators selling to the EU and NI, the Crafts Council has provided an update and some clarifications on the GPSR legislation.

#GPSR seems to be causing so much havoc to so many small independent artists it's so depressing

Shop is back open!
While I'm slowly implementing more steps to make sure I'm GPSR compliant. My shop is back open again and ready for orders!
For folks needing an EU #GPSR rep, maybe consider Corvo Cattivo. They're a "Mom & Pop shop" that make D&D system kits and woven throw rugs, but now offer to act as EU rep for individual creators & DIYers. No frills barebones service, but looks more affordable. I've not yet signed up, but I like their approach & pricing.
@jessienab GPSR is a mess, I've paused sales to the EU for now. (Switzerland is still okay because they're not in the EU or the EEA! And UK is still okay if you can exclude sales to Northern Ireland.)
Stickers aren't exempt, at least from what I've read :(
For the EU rep, I'm considering Corvo Cattivo. They've started up specifically to help individual makers & DIYers and seem more affordable than others. Their site is here:

Pam Duthie - The EU Answered some #GPSR Questions.
A good look at the Q&A that the EU put on the safety gate site.
Exxos (a famous Atari retro parts shop), announced they won’t ship to EU anymore because of the new GPSR law.

Denkt dran, dass die Angaben auch im Offline Handel, z.B. Markt, Laden, etc notwendig sind. Wenn auf dem Produkt nicht genug Platz ist, gebt dem Kunden ein Infoblatt.

Just come across this Q&A regarding #GPSR on the EU safety gates (Download the Questions and Answers PDF). It confirms that all digital goods (software, etc.) fall under it. Also deals with the Digital Services Act and second hand goods.
Produktsicherheitsverordnung bringt neue Herausforderungen für Unternehmer u.a:
Was gibt man als Hersteller an, wenn der ursprüngliche Hersteller pleite ist?
@Anneheathen I'm just baffled that they've made it all-or-nothing in the settings. No way to say "I'll ship anywhere but the EU" - so many other platforms let you specify exactly which counties you can ship to.
This is going to be a huge blow to Etsy's bottom line - ginormous - if sellers comply with the new rule en masse. Essentially no sales - physical or digital - to the EU, except perhaps the very largest shops. Of course they're not keen to let sellers know anything about #GPSR.
I just turned off all international shipping (except Canada) in my Etsy shop. I simply can't afford to comply with the #GPSR in the EU (like hiring an "economic operator" in the EU), and Etsy gives me no way to specify which countries I can ship to.
I suspect that Etsy is quietly in full freak-out mode internally. They have given no seller guidance at all on this, which says to me they don't want sellers turning off international shipping because that's vurrrrrrrry bad for their bottom line.
Well, it has arrived. Friday 13th, day of #GPSR.
Fingers crossed for everyone affected that the details get ironed out asap, although I'm not holding my breath.
This sucks massively for small businesses now unable to ship to the EU/NI but it also sucks massively for EU buyers who now find themselves with drastically reduced options.
Bleh.
If you are an artist, artisanal crafter, or even a seller of secondhand goods in the EU, the
GPSR applies.
The materials documentation requirements for artworks, handmade items, secondhand items are unworkable.
