Day 10 - Bastille Day, so no rest just yet. Made some good progress on the Rambouillet, just a couple of colours of the gradient to go.

Day 9 - made a start on the second braid of Rambouillet. Looking forward to the rest day soon as things are starting to ache a little. Unfortunately I don't think I'll finish this braid before it (it would have given the single a nice chance to rest before being plied).

Tour de Fleece day 8. The 3-D printed spindles are all filled with yarn so today I took a wooden one from Studio Spintol. Weighs only 9,3 grams but spins very well. Again I don’t think I can finish the 15 gram of fiber today. #TourDeFleece2025 #HandSpinning #SpindleSpinning #Spinning

The first pair of socks I've made from handspun yarn. I was a rather novice spinner back then and the yarn wasn't quite up to the task so the socks didn't last very long.
But I learned a ton through this project.
And it was real slow fashion - spinning the yarn (a 3-ply), took as long as knitting the socks.

I skirted Orca's #fleece and I think this would be a really fun one to spin because of all the different shades. It is also shocking how SOFT it is! It's like petting an angora rabbit or a chinchilla or something.
Day 5 and finished off the Cheviot blend, setting it aside to rest before plying. Started on some suitably French Rambouillet.

Tour de Fleece day 5. Because this spindle is a lot smaller than the ones I used the previous days I decided to wind the yarn a bit differently. So I made the pretty pattern on both sides and managed to get the full 15 gram of wool on a 10 gram spindle
