According to a whistleblower account, the practice has become systematic throughout #IDF operations, with almost every platoon forcing Palestinians to enter and clear houses ahead of soldiers—a practice called "mosquito protocol."
Despite being exposed in media months ago, the practice reportedly continued with knowledge of senior military leadership. While the IDF has opened six investigations, the officer claims this barely scratches the surface of a widespread practice that endangers innocent civilians primarily to save time rather than increase troop safety.
