First up tonight: finishing the original HyperCard version of Myst from 1993. Then I’ll be starting my first playthrough of the 2020 remake, including the newly added Rime age. https://www.twitch.tv/robotspacer #Twitch #MARCHintosh

what it's not #marchintosh anymore? Now #umac can not only mount 2 disc images at a time, but it can cycle the image on the "external" drive. Here I've booted a System 7 disc with hypercard from the "internal", and then cycled Glider and Dark Castle images in the external one. Base work is at https://github.com/evansm7/umac/pull/18 and further work is at https://github.com/evansm7/umac/compare/main...jepler:umac:multidrive-remount-when-ejected?expand=1
.. it won't be added by me to pico-mac anytime soon as I didn't bring any compatible HW on my trip, but ideally it'd work there as well, possibly by putting the images into a "umac1" folder on the SD card.
With a little delay, here come the last #GlobalTalk printouts!
Thank you, @jack68k - yours arrived on the last day of #MARCHintosh in my timezone :-)
Also thank you, @1Bit for the nice view and to the unknown author the final cut :-)
@madeinjapan The computer one would have been good for #marchintosh
Thanks everybody for a great #MARCHintosh and #GlobalTalk activity month! I had lots of fun! Sadly could not keep up the last week because of work. Big thanks to everybody who sent stuff to my printer and dropbox. It means a lot. Special shoutout to @kalleboo for the scavenger hunt! Definitely one of the highlights this year. Also thanks to everybody who tuned in to my QuickTime Conferencing video broadcast. Can't see in the application who did but a lot of traffic was routed. Cool!
jrouter stat for connected known peers for the last 2 days as #MARCHintosh winds down. I had planned on leaving the raspberry pi with jrouter running even though I won’t have my vintage machines powered on 24/7 until next March.
Hi. So, it's a couple of days too late for #MARCHintosh, but I've got #HyperCard busy controlling the QuickCam now. And that's also how we can tell that midnight is quickly approaching.
I just released a PDF manual and strategy guide for Shark Turtle #sharkturtle #samegame #macigame #marchintosh #love2d #gamedev #indiedev
https://jonthysell.com/2021/03/23/my-mac-se-30-part-iii-motherboard-and-drives/ has a bunch of helpful info, but nothing about how the "fiddly bit" of disconnecting the motherboard cables was accomplished. Big dumb fingers man (me) would have been helped by some hints.
Also realizing I'm getting going on this just too late for #MARCHintosh - alas!
I was able to leave 79 #GlobalTalk greetings this #MARCHintosh - this has been really fun!
its the 33rd of #MARCHintosh and OldMacATX boards have arrived :-)
Only a few hours after the official end of #MARCHintosh, I got this masterpiece from @1Bit
The official end of #MARCHintosh at #WOzFest HQ #GlobalTalk Print Shop was marked by this poignant print from @kalleboo, sent 20 minutes before the end of March, Anywhere on Earth.
While March is officially over, #GlobalTalk lives on, even during its relative 11 month hibernation between MARCHintoshes.
And here is the final leaderboard for the #MARCHintosh #GlobalTalk Scavenger hunt! Thanks to everyone who participated!
The final clue submission Stack will be removed in the coming days.
Here are all of the printouts I received on #GlobalTalk for #MARCHintosh! Thank you everyone!
The #GlobalTalk prints keep coming in! First up today is both ImageWriter and "LaserWriter" renderings of @1Bit's updated MacPaint masterpiece. There are several new details inside the room in this version, but what really stands out to me is the trees and careful shading in the mountain scene. Beautiful work!
