#Macmini

I have an old #MacMini from circa 2010, but I can't think of anything to do with it.

It doesn't have any USB3 ports and only one Ethernet port, so I can't use it as a router. Its DVD drive doesn't work (probably just dusty, but I don't know how to open it up and clean it), so I can't use it as a DVD player.

What do people do with old #Mac Minis these days?

Is it perhaps possible to run modern macOS in an emulator on it?

La Wokyis Retro Docking Station trasforma il Mac mini in un pezzo da collezione anni '80. 🤩

@brynet Thanks for keeping me updated on these topics! I don't tend to read more than the ports@ list and a couple specific threads on tech@.

I _still_ haven't really gotten far in testing #OpenBSD/arm64 much other than a few #QEMU tests on my #MacMini and #iPadPro. If (when?) I can ever upgrade my #M1 Mac mini, I'll try it natively, but I'm still exited to see progress on more of the newer ARM desktop/notebook/tablet class processors/hardware.
