For years, I've been using a free Mailchimp account to send out my monthly newsletter. However, they're now forcing a paid option on me, and after a few technical issues with another platform I've decided to switch to LinkedIn's free newsletter option instead.

It was never meant to be a money-spinner anyway, so why not?

Poking around after I finished our newsletter, I just noticed that you need to be on the ultra-expensive "premium" plan to cancel a scheduled Mailchimp distribution. That is one of the slimiest things I've seen in software recently. It's not even an additional feature--just a way to *cancel* something!

Basically, wait until your customer screws up and then hold them hostage.

Makes me want to stop using them just because that's such a nasty move. To add insult to injury, they don't tell you that this is the case until *after* you've scheduled the mail (of course).
