Stepping away from the tabletop, #HumbleBundle has a deal for $13 that includes #CitizenSleeper and #DiscoElysium and it's worth it for those two games alone. I adore the first and have only dabbled in the latter but loved it, too.

It also includes #PillarsOfEternity 1 & 2, #RoadWarden, and #BrokenRoads, but 15% off Citizen Sleeper 2.

Seriously, if you don't mind a lot of reading in your video games, get these.

Seguido he comenzado con #PillarsOfEternity Deadfire. A ver qué tal...

I bought Pillars of Eternity on sale a while ago. Playing #Avowed on #gamepass has gotten me intrigued, so I finally dove in. I'm generally terrible at these style of Rpgs, so I swallowed my pride and I'm paying on easy (which is the recommended setting, after all.) It's a lot of fun! The story is great, the quests are all interesting. I'm still taking my time learning the combat. The real time system overwhelms me a bit, so I rely on the AI for a lot of it. I'm slowly taking a more active roll, but it still feels like a lot. But I'm excited to see where it all goes.

I just unlocked the Stronghold. I'm pretty excited to see where that goes. Especially the dungeon thing underneath. I'm glad I'm giving it a chance.

Found out that Cloud Sync for #PillarsOfEternity is weird. When I was playing on my #SteamDeck (in Desktop mode with keyboard and mouse), I noticed that my original character saves weren't there. Was odd, but I hadn't gotten very far so I re-rolled.

Last night loaded up PoE on my Mac, and my saves from the original character were there, but _not_ from the new character on my Deck.

Turns out cloud save isn't cross-platform?!

Just finished Avowed. Pretty good game. Some of the writing and pacing is a little hamfisted, and it definitely requires some prior knowledge of the Pillars of Eternity games to slip into the groove without constantly poring over the lore bits you find in the game. However the gameplay scratches the Skyrim itch without nearly the amount of jank of a Bethesda game.

Combat doesn't feel great either. Companions feel so uselessly bad that I think I'm missing something in terms of leveling up their damage. Between that and how poor magic/magery feels, I'm looking for every opportunity to cheese combat entirely. And because of how bad the companions are, their after-battle quips of "hey, we make a pretty good squad" feel even more ridiculous and insulting because they can't take out a single enemy by themselves.
