Two more insights:

1. The same header format and compression is used in the WB250F and WB30F models, probably also in WB200F, DV150F and ST150F, but for those there are no firmware files.

2. Loading a big-endian raw binary into Ghidra as "Cortex:LE" will yield a very short analysis time, no errors, and no meaningful results (Quelle surprise!) And I should have seen my mistake earlier, right after extracting a bunch of u32s from the hex dump.

I just bought a (used) #RaspberryPi 4 with 8GB of RAM for 220 MYR (~52 USD), with free shipping - it came with a cooler, a really nice metallic case, a power supply, a 32GB #Samsung microSD card, and even a Micro HDMI cable. What a pretty freaking good deal, no?

Looking back at my receipt for my previous Pis, I got the RPi 4 2GB RAM for 174 MYR in Jan 2021, and the RPi 4 4GB RAM version for 269 MYR in July 2023 - these were the Pis alone without any cooler, SD card, etc. I'm so happy with this, I might actually get another one lol.

Surprise(?) discovery: the Samsung compact camera WB800F (Jan'2013) is using the same Fujitsu RELC compression as the NX mini (Aug'2014): op-co.de/blog/posts/fujitsu_re

@estevez Presently also running #Samsung 65" for the past 3-4y now. For about 1,5y I have started to use #appleTV exclusively so the TV has no eth or wifi connection to anything.

While that might not be the case for everyone, enjoying what I want when I want it with zero commercials is liberating. True the origin of the content is "questionable", but I do pay for it in return with my #usenet subscription ;). #Plex all the way. Considering what you wrote my next TV will have the same setup.

Their “Intelligent” picture mode adds so much distraction to the picture, you will want to disable it right away. But without that mode your picture will be so dark! And you can spend a week in advanced settings to make the picture better but it still not be as colorful and bright as with “Intelligent” mode.

There was a software update recently for my TV. Guess what? Now after turning TV on I see ads of other products and services! It takes half of the main fucking screen! Can you believe that? Am I in the Black Mirror episode now?

I think I need a new TV.

is so deep in the ! All my previous TVs were . Yes, the smart TV component was not their strength, but at least it was good as dumb TV. My current The Frame is complete crap.

Their BT remotes has a major BT issue. The BT just stops working someday. This is a global issue, a lot of users are affected. But! They produce this remotes model for several years already and newly produced units still faulty. How is it even possible?

Their “Connected Home” idea is just crazy. For some reason they decided that I always want my XBox to be powered on along with the TV. You can disable HDMI CEC everywhere on every device, but who even care. The XBox will still be powered on with the TV.

Samsung Galaxy A34/A33 still doesn’t have the One UI 7 update

Samsung has released One UI 7 on April 17th, 2025, after a major issue has been fixed. Currently, almost all eligible flagship devices in the world and more middle-ranger devices have obtained their own One UI 7 update tailored to their phone models and their countries. Your Galaxy will become more powerful, amazing, and gorgeous as One UI 7 brings more powerful features and a redesigned appearance consisting of a simple, impactful, and emotive design.

However, the Galaxy A34 and the A33 phones still haven’t received the One UI 7 update until now, which is a major inconvenience for users eager to receive this update meant to give you features like the Now Bar and the redesigned UI elements. However, we expect that the A34 and the A33 phones get the update during this month.

You can see the overview of what One UI 7 brings in the above linked article at the bottom section. Meanwhile, you can see a two-minute video trailer for One UI 7 highlighting its biggest features here.

https://youtu.be/P4AEIu3V6F4

To obtain the update, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Navigate to Software Updates
  3. Tap on Download and Install
  4. Wait until you see One UI 7 at the top of the page, then tap on Download
  5. Wait for the download to complete, then tap on Install

After you perform the above steps, your phone will be running One UI 7 based on Android 15, and you can enjoy its new features and with many improvements on place. This makes sure that your experience gets improved.

If you still didn’t get the update for your device, wait for a few days or a few weeks, then check for updates again. If you still see “Your software is up to date,” this means that the update didn’t reach your region yet.

Note that the update process may take 15 to 20 minutes, and this can vary from device to device. The download process may incur extra charges if you’re using the cellular network as the update size is around 5 GB, depending on the device, so we recommend downloading it through Wi-Fi. Never interrupt the update process in any way, or problems may occur. Make sure that your phone gets charged before you initiate the installation process.
