#thicktrunktuesday Went for a walk so I could photograph this tree. 3 workmen, couple of metres away, stopped and stared at me, until I reassured them that it was only the tree I was photographing. Probably thought I was weird (could be right :-)

I almost forgot today is #ThickTrunkTuesday This is the bark of an arbutus tree or madrone (Arbutus menziesii).

When you're in the middle of a forest and you feel like somebody's watching, it's probably just the trees. I spotted this tree with watchful eyes at Hallormsstaður forest in East Iceland.

Embedded in the sandstone cliffs above Hřensko, Czechia ('Bohemian Switzerland').
