@miller I'm using it always, sometimes even if mouse or trackball connected to the laptop. Just because I can move the cursor without moving hands away from keyboard (yes, I'm lazy)

@lebout2canap @silvermoon82 I only know of some #Perixx #trackpad|s that use #USB, and by comparison to #Apple they are atrocious.
- My next best option would be a #Trackpoint but I guess that isn's an option either...

@kobilacroix @katja I use a #ThinkPad-style #Trackpoint integrated in the 65% #Keyboard but since #Lenovo #enshittified that, #TEX is selling good alternatives...
- You could OFC source the mechanism from #Sprintek and use it as a #USB mouse or DIY something similar to the #Razer #Orbweaver with a #Keypad.
And yes, I'm mad the KU-1255 was discontinued for a 3x expensive version just so Lenovo doesn't have to offer a wired version and a bluetooth version.
- But the efficiency gains of using a Trackpoint are measureable
If you can, try a trackpoint espechally when you're more typing than mousing...

@mjdxp yeah - my #BigChungus misses a #TrackPoint, and I'll certainly need one too as I literally can't work without an #UltraNav-Style setup anymore!
- Granted "The Message" is that one's not forced to cram shit on a tiny desk but can afford a 100% Keyboard and mouse next to it!

Personally, I want some device like that again...
Maybe make it the #ThinkPod with a #UltraNav-Style #Trackpoint instead and out of #Thinkpadnium or #Nokiante plastic, coz #ThinkPad and #Nokia are the most durable materials once known!

The new #keyboard works flawlessly, despite not being an OEM part.
As a bonus, the #trackpoint feels much snappier now.
Hopefully this machine will serve me at least another five years!

@radmin @tera @critakitty yeah, @frameworkcomputer refusing to make a #TrackPoint keyboard is kinda sad.
- Cuz it's not as if they can't make a call at #Sprintek and maybe even get a custom-coloured rubber cap just to avoid #Lenovo claiming they violate the #UltraNav design / trademark.
Not to mention this isn't unique to even #ThinkPad or #hp #ProBook or #Dell #Latitude & #Getac devices, but even #Sony (#Vaio #P11Z) and #GPD did so...
- I hope they at least got a holder-hole and lanyard loop option for the #Stylus like the #X230Tablet has...
The only things @frameworkcomputer could do better on the #Framework13 would be a toolfree-swappable battery (not feasible with current case design) and #Trackpoint-#Keyboard combo and mere 3 buttons instead of #Touchpad (totally feasible)...
