In case you were a United Statian wondering what your Congressperson is doing whilst the #TrumpCrash is on-going:

Your Congressperson is currently letting four pieces of remedial legislation, re-asserting the Congress's sole power to set #tariffs, die in committee.

New York and Vermont are extortionists, and California is a radical, says #DonaldJTrump, the person currently trying to extort a fair fraction of the countries of the world and whose SCOTUS is the most judicially activist radicals in history.

Whilst xe is at it, xe is undoing as much state law as possible that is trying to avoid #ClimateChange, further greenhouse gas emission, and environmental damage.

"NRA Accidentally Forgets To Rise Up Against Tyrannical Government" says a YouTube commenter on the latest #LegalEagle video.

How is that not already a #TheOnion headline?

Answer: Because it was a headline in #TheShovel back in 2020, for an article that was mysteriously removed in March of this year.

What with entire government departments (e.g. USAID, USED) being shuttered and no Congressionally allocated funds being paid out, and huge tax hikes in the form of all of these extra #tariffs, no-one seems to be asking where all of this extra revenue and unspent appropriation is going.

What are the Department of Dodgy boys, with their fingers in the government spending computers, doing with it?

The sad thing is all of the unintended consequences, such as pushing large parts of the world into closer relations with China.

In this sort of scenario, it's a push to move as much of the manufacturing chain as possible outwith the U.S.A. to Canada or to Mexico, so that it doesn't criss-cross multiple tariff borders, leaving only distribution and retail within the U.S.A..

#DonaldJTrump has not thought this through. Of course not.

I'm feeling a bit conflicted.
My granddaughter who is 16 has been accepted into the British Army.
She's one of my daughter's children so we've not seen her for a few years.

On the one hand I'm pleased that she's found her way in life - and that she's going to be away from the dreadful influence of her father.
Equally, I lean towards pacifism and I'm against militarism. I abhor the idea of child soldiers - which she will be later this year.

As the world drifts blindly into World War Three I really don't know what to think.
