Jonathan Maberry, v zahraničí velmi respektovaný hororový autor, držitel pěti Bram Stoker Adwards, se rozhodl, že svou tvorbou přispěje i do žánru fantasy.
Kagen Prokletý je první díl plánované dark fantasy trilogie zasazené do nemilosrdného světa s lovecraftovskými božstvy, kde nechybí akce, místy dost brutální scény, temná atmosféra, politika, intriky a propaganda, ale dokonce i humor.
Hlavní hrdina, Kagen Vale, válečník a ochránce císařských Ratolestí, se uprostřed noci probouzí do válečné vřavy a zjišťuje, že hlavní město Stříbrné říše je pod útokem obří armády Černokrále. Stříbrná říše je poražena a Kagenovi se nakonec podaří uprchnout, pričemž se od něj odvrátí jeho bohové a on se utápí v žalu a depresích, protože zklamal sebe i svou Císařovnu i své bohy. Postupně se však dá dohromady a začne plánovat svou pomstu.
Jedná se zatím o nejmacatější knihu a zároveň i jednu z nejlepších, která u nás vyšla v nakladatelství Gnóm!.
Kniha vyšla s dvěma variantami obálky a momentálně, na krátký čas, je dokonce přímo na webu nakladatelství Gnóm! ve slevě i s dalšími tituly. Tohle dílo i tohle nakladatelství se vyplatí podpořit! Doporučuji.

One of my favorite book series, #JoeLedger by #JonathanMaberry is being developed for TV. The series is stuffed to the brim with hard science secret agent stuff and sprinkled with a bit of the supernatural. It's an excellent mix, with plenty of ass being kicked. Naturally, having the director or the #JohnWick series will be a huge plus. I'm looking forward to this. Please don't fuck it up.
