I had a quick look at OnlyOffice and it feels much more responsive than Collabora Online. I'm a bit concerned about OnlyOffice's Russia links, though.

In my attempt to #degoogle, I've gotten a #protrondrive account. But I've hit a bit of a feature snag. I need to be able to open and edit spreadsheet and text documents from this online storage on my #android device. First attempt was with #onlyoffice but quickly found it doesn't have a way to access proton drive. I see people online asking for this... But no go atm. Anyone else suggest work arounds or #foss alternatives? Been eyeing #cryptpad as well.

Just testing #OnlyOffice on #Ubuntu. Seems interesting. Any drawbacks compared to #LibreOffice?

After having used Owncloud/Nextcloud since, like, forever but only as a sync and share I wanted to try and get online editing working as an alternative to Google Docs/Drive/M365 etc.

Onlyoffice only supports M$ docs and trying to open something else just downloads the file.

Collabora on the other hand is able to open and edit ALL documents.

Kurzer Rant, aber es ist wirklich absurd wie bescheuert #Office365 für Privatkunden ist. Wir nehmen das doch alle nur weil es der quasi standard ist und coorperate da alle vorlagen drin macht.

Wenn man sich mal 5min hinsetzen würde und Vorlagen in #libreoffice oder #onlyoffice erstellen würde, lebten wir in einer besseren Welt.

I want to create a very "free-form" diagram showing different interconnected components:

1. #Libreoffice Draw: crashes frequently
2. #OnlyOffice presentation: doesn't work on Firefox, behaves very weirdly in chromium-like browsers
3. #Inkscape: too cumbersome for this task
4. #Dia: works
5. Google Docs: works perfectly, but is not libre
6. tikz/mermaid: not free-form enough (I want to drag stuff around manually)
