#Firefox and #uBlockOrigin push back against advertising and tracking. #ConsentOMatic automatically dismisses most cookie pop-ups and denies tracking permission.
Try them once. You won't go back.

@rhys Fwiw, using a #Firefox-based browser, & using #uBlockOrigin with some dynamic filter rules, provides ongoing usage of the site.

Raymond Hill has added a suite of new scriptlets for editing JSON.
These scriptlets are similar to existing JSON-related scriptlets, except these use a different syntax.
This suite also includes scriptlets for trusted filterlists which can modify values.
This update also added additional JSON-related functionality to the $replace function.

It's sad that the excellent #uMatrix addon for #mozilla #firefox was discontinued. It was an excellent way of making sure what websites allow and what not.
I have been using it and it has been working well until now, but I have noticed some strange errors that were not happening in a new (librewolf) profile with uBlock Origin, so I might have to switch.

NeowinGoogle turned off uBlock in Chrome, but you can still enable it, here is howGoogle recently disabled uBlock Origin and other MV2-based extensions in Chrome, but a simple trick lets you enable them again.

I would like to be logged in to Youtube to participate in some live chats and to occasionally comment.
#Vivaldi is based on #Google's #Chromium platform. I know that #Google is working to kick uBlock Origin out of the #Chrome Extension Store since it's an effective YouTube ad blocker.
So I'll use Vivaldi as my browser and Firefox as a YouTube viewer! 
Otherwise, I'd use Freetube or just log out of Google and watch add free.

Interesting! #uBlock Origin will prevent #YouTube from seeing I'm using an Ad Blocker (uBlock itself) on #Firefox but NOT on #Vivaldi.
So If I'm logged into #Google via Vivaldi, I'm blocked on #YouTube from watching anything since I use the evil uBlock Origin.
If I'm not logged into Google, then Vivaldi is ad-free with uBlock
But if I'm logged in on Google/YouTube via Firefox with uBlock, no issues and no ads.

It’s my idea, or some sites have started to show a new wave of ads that will block content unless you disable the #AdBlocker?

Given the difference in user counts between #GoogleChrome and #Firefox, it's striking how much more (on average!) Firefox users know about privacy and safety than Chrome users do.
I do agree that #Linux-users are more likely than #Windows-users to be running Firefox and that this'll cause Linux to be under-counted.
