Do you publish a site on #Vercel? Are you annoyed by or just want to prevent scraping by #AI

Since I don't manage the underlying infrastructure, I wasn't sure if I could deploy something like #Anubis. A quick search through the docs reveals they have built-in bot mitigation settings in the firewall function, even at the free tier.

Note that these are off by default, so you need to go in and change them.

Another framework jumps the Vercel Trump supporter shark. Kinda glad I stopped using Nuxt years ago.

Web platform fundamentals is where it’s at. They can’t be sold off to a random fash corp. Ditch the layers and layers of frameworks and just use HTML, CSS, and JS. Those are actually good and nowadays well-maintained programming languages.

Damn! The past 6 months I've spent porting the company I work for site from #wordpress to #Astro #Vercel #storyblok has *REALLY* been worth it. The drop in this graph is the day we switched over, boom! I really need to do a blog write up of switching from WordPress to Astro in a corporate environment.

With the news of #vercel scooping up #nuxt, it’s making me think even more about options in software. Nobody is under the illusion that Vercel is doing these things for the love of OSS, and it’s ultimately the developers that will pay the price. But hope is not lost! The community now more than ever needs to promote and use alternative tools so that we all benefit from a strengthened ecosystem. “Corporate backed” options are valuable and have their place but should not be the only solution

Nuxt Labs has been acquired by Vercel. Setting aside my feelings about Vercel now owning React, Next.js, and the future of Nuxt, I have officially begun mourning the death of the easiest way to deploy Nuxt to Cloudflare — Nuxt Hub.

I hope this goes well for the people involved, at least.
