It took all weekend, but I managed to create a replacement part for a broken stove guard with with and a 3D printer. and stuff like real nerds. Learned a lot along the way.

Write-up on the repair project on my personal blog:

@espena That's the spirit! Good job!

By the way: You can directly import images into #FreeCAD and start using the scanned image right away for outlines and so on.

@M4x Great! Thanks, I'll try it out next time around.

Hey, @espena, seeing as this is your first post, I wanted to welcome you to TechHub, and the Fediverse network we're part of! I've also used 3D printing to make specialized parts, and I'm always happy to be reminded I should do that more.

I'm one of your local moderators.

Some advice to get you started...

There is no algorithm on this network, so we generate our feeds by following people and hashtags. I recommend you search up a few hashtags and follow them now to get started.

I also recommend you make a post talking about yourself, using the hashtag , and adding further hashtags for the things you intend to post about. That way, you can find some followers right away.

If you have any questions or need any help, feel free to ask me! 🙂

Happy posting!

@Raccoon Thanks for a warm welcome. An introduction post is on its way. This certainly seems like a great place to share personal opensource / open hardware projects.

@espena
Oh, definitely. Small creators and open source projects are absolutely loved here.
