I am part of the GitHub Maintainers community (maintainers.github.com/), a good sample of people working seriously for years on medium- and high-profile #OpenSource codebases.
I want to share the consensus I saw in the last months on how shitty and counter-productive #GenAI is for most workflows, quite the opposite of the #VibeCoding / #Copilot hype you hear everywhere.
Case at hand: GitHub offers an opportunity to get your project featured against trial & feedback on AI PRs.

A post on GitHub stating: It would be nice to see GitHub prioritizing fixing the actual problems of the platform (like how PRs are broken, Dependabot is unusable, security fix PRs are not fixing security issues, Actions are unnecessarily slow in some cases) instead of heavily marketing AI features in the guise of "community interaction". If you want to help maintainers or hear feedback from them, this push is not the way to do so. I'm tired of being a target for this aggressive marketing of features that barely work (more than half of Copilot PR review suggestions are useless at best, some even misleading and harmful). Does anyone know if #Copilot or any other supposed “AI" LLM is anything but total dogshit with Perl?

I ask because so far we have not had any bug reports or rule contributions or *anything* seemingly LLM-generated for #SpamAssassin. This is good. However, it makes me wonder if it isn't a larger issue. Which would also be good.
