Digital Being PC inhabiting a Medallion Disc

Ink Art from page 73 of The Mutant Epoch RPG Expansion Rules

This device looks like some sort of art déco style piece of ancient jewelry. 2 in 6 will feature genuine gold and silver decorative elements, and of these, 1 in 6 will also be fitted with gemstones which double the buy or sell price. They are very much like palm disks and feature the same chance of a potential add-on. Because they are worn on a stainless steel or leather necklace, they can often be slipped beneath a wearer’s clothing — although doing so blocks the digital being’s visual receptors unless the fabric is specially punctured or of a mesh material.

You can play these digital beings using the new rule book.

Wristwatch Projector

Besides being an excellent projector that allows hands free use, this watch can also be worn under the wearer’s armor to better protect it — although anything blocking the topside projection emitter will stop the holographic image from appearing, seeing its surroundings or launching its shock generator or most other apps — yet the digital being can still verbally interact with the wearer.

Critical Hits for Hacking Attacks
Ink Art from page 68 of The Mutant Epoch RPG Expansion Rules

[Dice rolls of 01] Roll 1d10 Outcome of a Critical Hacking Attack

Roll result 10. System Overload! The target CPU suffers a cataclysmic override and bursts into flame amid a shower of sparks. The CPU takes 1d100 data damage and whatever installation, vehicle, body or container it occupies loses the next 1d6 turns and takes 2d20 endurance damage. If the harm from either of these two damage rolls is enough to finish off either the CPU or the body, then the target is fried and ‘dead’ and cannot be occupied by another digital being.

Hacking and Firewall
Besides traits, other details unique to digital beings are their attack and defense modes, with hacking equivalent to strike value, and firewall equivalent to defense value. These traits are abbreviated as HK and FW.

🤔 A Scientist Thinks We Live in a Simulation—and That He’s Found Proof of the Universe’s Source Code

Could the hypothesized Second Law of Infodynamics finally deliver the ‘smoking gun’ evidence?

By Darren Orf, Published: Mar 27, 2025 11:30 AM EDT

"In the early 4th century BCE, the legendary ancient Greek philosopher Plato put forth a simple thought experiment. Known as the Allegory of the Cave, the idea suggests that what we believe to be 'reality' could be little more than shadows dancing upon a cave wall. Fast forward to the 21st century, and scientists are pondering the same question albeit in a more technological context."
