The Washington Post broke the news February 20 that Trump was on the verge of issuing an executive order to dissolve the independent leadership of USPS and move it into the executive branch under the Department of Commerce, now led by enthusiastic privatizer Howard Lutnick, a Wall Street banker. Trump confirmed the next day that he was “looking at” this option. The other shoe hasn’t dropped yet.

r/USPS locks down their subreddit due to #postalworkers calling for a #strike in protest of recent news that Musk-Trump is taking control of the post office has apparently caused an influx of postal workers looking to #organize a strike, which is currently illegal.

“Effective immediately, r/USPS is on temporary lockdown due to an overwhelming influx of rule violations, most notably discussions regarding illegal work stoppages.“
