Break in the rain, dug up some new potatoes for dinner and weeded a bit.

The rotavated side is not bad, I can use a weed blade between the plants and only have to rip out a few prickly thistles.

The no-dig experiment on the left is overgrown with stickyweed. Perhaps the higher moisture in those beds combined with the extreme amounts of rain did that. They are nonexistant in the beds on the right.

They're annoying because they grow through the potatoes, are sticky and difficult to separate. I've weeded about half of it before the next rain shower, it was more work than the entire right side together (which is more than twice as big) and I didn't get everything as they're so intertwined.

We'll see if this is worth it when we harvest.

#NewShoolFoods sounds so interesting and like a huge win for #CanadianInnovation. I would love to eat #Salmon made out of #potato. The texture looks legit, the reviews say the taste is very mild, and it is very close to the real thing. Whenever I get the chance, I will be trying out this salmon and other fish they imitate.

🤖 Breaking news: #Huawei, the tech giant with the creativity of a #potato, decided the best way to innovate was to slap a new name on someone else's work. Who knew? 🚀 Apparently, it's easier to rename than to reprogram. 😂
