Monthly check-in . . . just a titch late.

I'm scrambling to get ready and judge a cat show this weekend--they forgot to actually ask me, so I didn't find out until Wednesday. (Normal is months to years in advance).

I'm back to dieting. It's going well, I think. Week 2 of new meds.

Had some fun at the dojo this week--pulled out my new lightsaber to use for a sword form.

From the Hebrew bible, through Norse mythology to Hindu and Buddhist traditions.

Even the modern, pop culture mythology has one - the #LightSaber .

I can't stop imagining a cherubim at the gates of Eden with a light saber since I realized this equivalence.

The Spirit of the Dragon Martial Arts School in Regina held a two-hour lightsaber training class for 25 students over the weekend. The idea was to encourage exercise and physical movement by teaching students some of the moves used in the iconic Star Wars movie franchise.
