So, as I was about to prepare something from the archives, some "needed luck" appeared out of nowhere with this little fella in the yard. Initial identification yielded Sesuvium portulacastrum (shoreline purslane, sea purslane; Tagalog: dampalit; 中文: 海馬齒 / 海马齿; Arabic: الرِّجلة الساحلية).
Here's a funny story for you: I glanced this as I was checking few things in the yard, and I realized it's a new comer. I snapped it quickly with my phone; 10-15 minutes later I came back with my Canon and 100mm macro lens to snap it, but couldn't find it whatsoever! The flower is so small (the size of my thumbnail if not smaller) and under the sun it was so hard to notice. Not until later (maybe 1 or 2 hours afterward) I did find it again and shot it up-close and personal.
The shot here is a crop of the original image from my phone - and it was a great deal of a crop; I won't be exaggerating if I say that I've removed 90~95% of the image here just to focus on this little dude.
Of course color correction was due because it was tinted green by the shade in the yard.
