Enfin, ces deux se croisent, au détour d'un chemin. Depuis plusieurs jours, le kiwi austral se laisse entendre. Mais il ne se laisse pas approcher aussi facilement. Au total, Flavien parcourt quatre-vingts kilomètres pour une seule et unique rencontre.

Alors qu'il allait rebrousser chemin, un bruit déchire le silence assourdissant. Mais au vu de l'heure, la marche se fait à tâtons, au flair. Un jeu de piste, pour que le Graal se dévoile enfin. L'un est tétanisé par une telle rencontre, l'autre hésite un instant avant de vaquer à ses occupations : se nourrir. Flavien, après avoir savouré la chance d'une telle rencontre, s'en retourne le cœur léger. Le kiwi, toujours affamé, part à la chasse aux larves d'insectes, vers, et autres petits invertébrés.

Pas de cotillons ni de bulles, mais des crêtes embrumées et une plante rare. Flavien célèbre la Saint-Sylvestre loin des lumières artificielles et de sa famille, dans l’écrin sauvage de l’île Stewart, en Nouvelle-Zélande. Treize heures de marche, 980 mètres de dénivelé, une chaussure pleine de boue, et au sommet : une espèce endémique introuvable ailleurs.

Il s'offre une fin d’année brute, sincère, intense. Entre bivouac et sa quête de naturaliste, ce réveillon au cœur du bush néo-zélandais, accompagné d'une paella lyophilisée nous rappelle une chose : la nature offre parfois le plus beau des feux d’artifice.

Worked on my MUDs code to enhance playing experience with tilemaps. When you interact with stuff now (e.g. opening doors, getting items from containers) your avatar is walking to that object now before the command is executed - and with the "all." selector, it repeats the process for all items.

That all was possible by introducing a behaviour tree engine in the background and rewriting the commands to make use of it.
