I never saw a #c64 when I was growing up. Never know anyone that had one.
Today I decided to introduce myself to the C64 through my MiSTer. Found an archive of software, picked a game at random, loaded it up… and immediately understood what everyone has been on about all these years.
Wow. Vivid(ish) colour, fast moving sprites, and sound that blows away every other 8-bit. I can see I have some catching up to do.
The game was Amazon Voyage which I had never heard of but is quite fun (if a little iffy in the tropes department

I've owned three #Anbernic handhelds and never had any problems with them.
The first #Retroid device I bought (also twice as expensive as any other I own) and it nearly catches fire and the company can't seem to manage a return process.
Don't buy a #RetroidPocket5, their charging circuitry is faulty and they can explode.

Originally for the SEGA Master System, Fantasy Zone II also runs on the GameGear, and it even comes with a background story!
The game seems simple at first but the timed power ups produce quite the pressure during the gameplay. The graphics are extremely colorful and complex considering the limits of the system.

Although a Motorola 68030@50 MHz or 68040@25 MHz isn't exactly "mid-spec" for any actual Amiga of the 90's.
