WHY THE FUCK do I need to create an account in an app that is only intended to play network streams locally? God I truely despise the unbelievable shitfire our profession has become. I already dread each time I have to enter the Playstore nowadays and am GUARANTEED to be disappointed with dysfunctional garbage, the only purpose of which seems to be to ram ads up my ass as hard as possible. Now that Google has deleted my paid Developer Account (for supposedly "not publishing app updates frequently enough"), I am down to two options of distributing Android app:

  • Publish APK file in Releases page of code repository on self-hosted @forgejo instance;
  • Submit app afterwards to @fdroidorg and hope it will be included.

Will do both when app is ready to hit the screens. It's going to be useless but fun Bouncing Logo application for :android: - pure web app, open source, only using Android tools limited to packaging it as APK :blobcatnerd:

Esta nota sobre como #nextcloud esta teniendo problemas con su cliente en #android dede la #playStore de #google me hace pensar que deberiamos fomentar mas el uso de #fdroid aunque sea como alternativa, asi como las tiendas chinas de apps estan siendo apoyadas por los chinos

Bei mir kam das heute bei der App für mein Geschäftskonto (Holvi).

Bis gestern konnte ich die App noch problemlos öffnen, aktualisieren und nutzen. Jetzt soll ich den Playstore nutzen bzw. die Updates von da ziehen.

Nutze an sich nur noch fdroid und Aurora, fluppte bis heute einwandfrei.

Überlege gerade, mal Holvi anzuschreiben und auf dieses unschöne Problem hinzuweisen.

Ich habe eben im #Playstore ein seltenes Juwel von Spiel gefunden: "Sound of Magie".
Es handelt sich dabei um ein #Textadventure, welches aber zu 90% nur über Audio abläuft. Du navigierst den Protagonisten durch entsprechende Gesten auf deinem Handy, welche optisch visualisiert werden.Für mich als Sehende ist das eine ziemliche Herausforderung, mir alles Relevante zu merken und die Story von meinem inneren Auge zu entwerfen.
