Once that's working the app can be installed and updated using F-Droid, and getting it into their main repo is much quicker and easier.</p><p>For now, you could use <a href="https://mastodon.nzoss.nz/tags/Obtainium" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Obtainium</span></a> to install directly from the release files on the project's code forge. I was bored, so #LineageOS happened. Which forced… gave me the opportunity to rethink some apps. A couple of highlights.

I returned to #GhostCommander, which wasn’t working well with older Androids (remember the Great SD Card Disaster?). It looks and behaves like an open-source version of #TotalCommander. If you don’t need SMB 1 support like I do, you should probably check out #MaterialFiles instead, It looks better.

What a difficult decision I need to make... 😅

I love my #GrapheneOS , it does everything it needs to, with simplicity.

Now, I must admit, my bank app refuses to scan #QRcode ("technical error") and I cannot make app purchases (because I chose to exclusively use #AuroraStore and #FDroid ).

Do I stay fully aligned with my principles ( #FuckBanks , #FuckGoogle ), principles that my #GrapheneOS helps me achieve, or do I play with a secondary profile to install a few "dirty apps" to not isolate myself even further?

Die hier hat #FDroid aber die wird mir als inkompatibel gezeigt (außerdem hat die vom Alter wohl noch #Nostradamus selbst gecodet...)

Entre el atontamiento que tengo después de la operación de reconstrucción, y que me cuesta mucho expresarme, me ha llevado más de lo que pensaba.

Pero ya tenéis disponible la entrada en mi blog donde explico cómo instalar F-Droid y NewPipe en una SmartTV, para poder ver los vídeos de Youtube sin tanta porquería.

W przejętym od matki Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G wymieniłem w końcu ichnie MIUI na świeżego LineageOS i telefon wystartował jak rakieta. Jest szybciej i przyjemniej bez tego całego bloatu.

To pierwszy raz, kiedy przenosiłem się na „nowy” telefon od czasu rozpoczęcia intensywnego korzystania z aplikacji z F-Droid i muszę przyznać, że w momencie przenosin jest to trochę upierdliwe, bo musiałem ręcznie zainstalować tonę apek. Ale i tak warto.

I bought an Android digital clock app and have used it for years. It displays the time. I used it at night with dim red digits. It did all I needed. At least it did until tonight, when it started running bright ads on the bottom of the page.

F-Droid offers an app called "Just 24 Hours" which has no permissions needed and just shows the time.

I haven't used #KDEConnect for ages and had forgotten about it.

Then I wanted to control my laptop using my mobile like a TV remote and I remembered...

It is now even better than I remember. Awesome remove control of #Ubuntu #Gnome using my mobile.

#Linux is awesome - and - free!

Even better, the KDE Connect app is available on #FDroid.
