Although I am registered Independent, a question did go through my empty head while watching what should have been the State of the Union. That question is: "Why are the Congress Democrats not doing anything about this runaway crazy train that is Trump and his cabinet?"
I admit to being one (probably of many) who cheered when Senator Al Green disrupted the event, speaking up for what is right. I was distressed that the House Speaker called upon the Sergeant at Arms to forcibly eject a 77 year old respected man from the room.
This enhanced my question.
That's why I was so glad today to see House Democratic Leaders come together in unity to cry out against how our Veterans and the VA are being despicably treated. They need our respect, honour, and our care. Instead they get disrespect, a firing letter, and lack of care.

Many veterans I know depend on the VA for their medical needs after serving our already great country. People like my most wonderful and dear friend John Rose, who I know will not mind my directly naming. It's time for ALL of us to step up and cry out against Trump, and what he is doing to this country internally, with our neighbours, and on the world stage.
I am an international who became a naturalised US Citizen, so I fully understand how America looks across the world. Many times this year I have had to inform my International friends that there is a difference between the great American people and the current leadership.
