I think I already had a C64 at that time and eventually got a matrix printer.
I had so much fun printing banners on listing paper.

Anyone have suggestions for a replacement power brick for a Commodore 64? Original breadbin style, not sure if the C64C changes that.
I do have a Plus 4, and the power brick for that works. I understand it's electrically compatible, are there any decent sources for adapters or the connectors to make one? #retrocomputing #commodore
Martin Ulrich, one of the developers of the classic #Commodore #Amiga game Ports Of Call, has passed away at the age of 76.
PoC was the second game I ever played on the Amiga. Thank you, Martin, for all the good times I had playing this with my friends.

I am checking out a few Amiga disk images and I gotta admit: This one had me confused for a bit.
As shown in the attached screenshot of DirectoryOpus, I had found a savegame with a file date "older" than the game it originated from. At first, I thought this to be very unusual. Then I remembered: Back in the day, Amigas did not usually have a real-time clock with a battery backup, so every time you booted up the system, the clock would be reset to a fixed date and time!
I'm feeling kinda stupid right now.

VIC-20 image quality comparison with and without the TheRetroChannel video mod. The improvement is quite dramatic in most cases.
Although the comparison here shows SVideo, the improvement over composite is almost as substantial.

Last night I installed the TheRetroChannel 
VIC-20 SVideo/Composite board in my "VC-20".
It went relatively easily, although I should probably clean up and add some fresh solder to the pins around the video socket sometime. But it works for now. Comparison screenshots coming up next!

Working on Soft-Sprites on the VDC-Chip. Works on a byte-level already, the cyan pixels show that work on the pixel level is still needed (2 pixels per byte in this case).
Rendering these 10 soft-sprites in a basic-loop takes about 9 jiffies at 2 MHz.
