Mike Simpson is part of The Dust Brothers, one of my favourite-ever producer duos. Among many albums, they've produced Beastie Boys' 'Paul's Boutique' and made the soundtrack for 'Fight Club'.

Mike Simpson is one half of The Dust Brothers and helped Mark Oliver Everett—a.k.a. Eels—to produce several tracks for different albums.

This song reminds me of how The Dust Brothers produced Beck's best album, 'Odelay'. The drums. THE DRUMS.

No other hip-hop duo have ever produced drums in this way.

If you love watching musicians who are absolute masters of their craft, and like weird fusion and experimental... stuff, then Mats/Morgan just uploaded a live show. They really groove together, and I can't stop being impressed by Mats' skills on the keyboard (he's blind). And Morgan is an absolute god on the drums as always.

Next, I’m going to dive deep into my virtual studio (Reason 12) for several hours.

I have multiple instrumental progressive synth tracks that need to get out. Some melodies are still taking shape, some are already done. The feeling, soundscapes, and vision are already clear.

While I’m immersed, could you help me out with information?

I’d like to *release music here on Fedi* for the first time, right from the beginning:

1. What’s the best approach?
2. Where should I create an artist profile to make it enjoyable to follow?
3. Which instance should I choose?
4. What else should I consider?
5. Should I distribute it to commercial platforms as well? Or no? Why?

Any help would be appreciated, I'll get back to you when I'm back from the zone.
