I was trying to sign in to my Adobe account to use Behance for job hunting, but the site login seems totally broken… So I went to try logging in from Adobe.com, but the site doesn’t even load with Safari on Mac.

Adobe.com works fine with Vivaldi (Chromium)... So I guess we’re back to the IE6 era of only supporting the monopoly browser? Maybe they are still bitter about Apple killing Flash?

Here are comments on the evolution of browser share in a year.

3/4 Fediverse members use proper. Same as last year.
We welcome other parts of the Firefox family (any browser with Gecko inside):
• The share of Librewolf mentions doubled since last year.
• The share of other Gecko-based forks mentions also doubled since last year. (Even though some Waterfox usage is not logged because i did not list it.)

The shares of Chrome and Vivaldi were stable for the first thousand answerers (maybe more IT inclined) but doubled with the later thousand (in the last 24 hours).

The share of the last line (Opera-Blink-Brave mentions) decreased since last year.

A poll of "Which browsers do you use?" It notably shows Safari at 22% and Firefox at 75%. "2,138 people · 4 days left"

To the Safari team's credit, their link capturing ability to open webpages in the respective web app works remarkably well. Even between web apps it does it correctly. The occasional hiccup typically makes sense too, like if there's a subdomain, or there's a URL redirect involved with a different domain (like protected links from Outlook(dot)com email). #macOS #safaribrowser

On #Mastodon I use the "advanced web interface" in ⚙️ to display lists, home feed, and followed hashtags in a multi-column layout in a computer browser (Vivaldi).

But when I use Fediverse in the browser on mobile, I switch to normal view owing to the multi-column view being illegible on small screen because the browser (#iOS with #SafariBrowser ) doesn't automatically create scroll bars.

Do you use advanced web view? And do you also use it on mobile – in which browser?

Do mobile apps display followed hashtags in the home feed, too?
Do mobile apps support multi-column layout?

MDN Web Docslight-dark() - CSS: Cascading Style Sheets | MDNThe light-dark() CSS <color> function enables setting two colors for a property - returning one of the two colors options by detecting if the developer has set a light or dark color scheme or the user has requested light or dark color theme - without needing to encase the theme colors within a prefers-color-scheme media feature query. Users are able to indicate their color-scheme preference through their operating system settings (e.g., light or dark mode) or their user agent settings. The light-dark() function enables providing two color values where any <color> value is accepted. The light-dark() CSS color function returns the first value if the user's preference is set to light or if no preference is set and the second value if the user's preference is set to dark.
