The platform affords wonderful views the #land and the #sea almost all the way around. Here, for example, you can see a #PassengerFerry bound for the Isle of Wight, which can be seen across the strait (the #Solent). The town on the over side of the bay is #Gosport.
We left that Mudeford and bimbled down to that Hurst Spit what pokes out into the Solent and is a bloomin' long ride on a gravel bike if you've only taken 35mm tyres. 44mm is good though, but the Tudors what built the castle didn't have gravel bikes so Lord knows how they got there. #HurstSpit #HurstCastle #Hampshire #Solent #AerialPhotography #Photography
Guess who knocked the front standard again! Getting the hang, and using a wide angle presents itself with some headaches with the smaller bag bellows.
Trying to correct for the distortion of the wide angle lens, parallels in the verticals and fiddle with the depth of field ‘in-camera’ by moving, rotating and tilting the lens and film plane is a challenge and was so, so close! I need to watch removing the old timey focussing cloth on my head 
Fairly happy otherwise and need to work out why the negs are getting scratched, I suspect it’s the film holder loading process. Traffic in and around the #solent has been awful recently with schools going back in september and the works on the M27. There seem to be accidents and incidents every morning. I know "you're not in traffic, you are traffic". Public transport is really rubbish here too. Mrs R's journey to work would be 1h30m on trains + buses vs a (notionally) 20m drive. The notion of cycling around here is absolutely terrifying unless you like being mown down by a 2024 BMW doing 90mph in a 30 zone. #Transport

With this in mind I decided that sausages are a #fruit. Of course fruit based sausages are not presently popular but #fruity #sauces such as #tomato or HP are often used as a #condiment. Such a range might be named #Solent #Green in honour of #unfashionable ideas now arising again …
In our family we have cheese on our #toast or bread with marmalade. People are askance at such a #combination but it is #delicious.
