I went from "I need to restart my blog using a static site generator" to "I need to DIY a mimeograph machine" before I finished deciding on colors for the blog.

Oh neat. Some folks might want this if they're looking to migrate from a #ContentManagementSystem (like WordPress) to a #StaticSiteGenerator (like #Eleventy).

Recently, I asked for advice about choosing a new static site generator. I have converted troz.net to Eleventy, and here's a post detailing why and how: https://troz.net/post/2025/eleventy/
My dear emacs and orgmode users, do you know any good static site generator based on org files and support translations?
I would be glad to hear your recommendations.
Thank you!

Static.Quest has been updated to include an OPML file for all the sites and their RSS feeds! Check it out on the Members page: https://static.quest/members/
It lives, and includes pain.
But _ViewStart, Layouts and all this good stuff works just fine.

Anyone have any recommendation for a *modern* tiny #cms solution? Something like #tinyCms or #picoCms that is in active development?
** The CMS is the recommendation I'm looking for, not an SSG (but thanks!)
Cool if it is for #staticSiteGenerator
Cool if it is dynamic but fast
What are people’s preferred static site generators these days? I used to use Jekyll until an update broke my site. Now I’m using Hugo but I had to downgrade to an old version yesterday because the updates had broken my site. Do I re-configure my Hugo site or is there something better? #StaticSiteGenerator #Jekyll #Hugo

The fun with #clojure continues while building my own static site generator engine for my blog. In this post I am describing how I create the sitemap.xml and the JSON-LD schema for SEO upgrades.

My test #blog at https://test.damianvila.com now has Mastodon comments! (just the last post).
I think it's mostly ready. I just need to report an issue with #Publii (the app generates FIGURE tags around IMGs without checking if one already exists, at least 1 or 2 nodes up), but other than that, it's looking good! Pretty happy with everything (even when I had to hack a few things ) #staticsitegenerator #staticsite #mastodoncomments
(Finally) Thinking about starting to work on the next iteration of my website.
Eyeing either @eleventy or Hugo, but kinda leaning toward 11ty.
The idea is to have a landing page, a notes/blog area (list and detail), a projects area (list and detail), and an about page/CV. Any thoughts?
