Lynx #BASIC from the #CamputersLynx ... q quite exotic british #HomeComputer from 1983. It not only allows line numbers in real format but also any kind of space separation in command and function names. I love that machine!

Right now I am writing a short #HomeComputer #BASIC dialect history. Today I arrived in Great Britain's BASIC systems. Looking through different benchmarks I found the one from David Ahl (printed in "Creative Computing" 1983/84) and tested on dozends of mini computers, super computers, mainframes and home computers ... but not on the #AmstradCPC. So, here you are: The CPC with Locomotive BASIC 1.1 on a Europien CPC (50Hz) is one of the best (only topped by the #BBCMicro):

Today I received a fully functional #NEC PC 6001 (1981) #8Bit #HomeComputer from Japan, including several manuals and a German greeting card.

It is said that it is the #WeekOfSpeccy - hosted my my.retro.tech over on instagram - and while I'm currently diving a little bit into the demo scene here is something I found:

"Deadly Meteor Kills A Dinosaur" - by gasman, a silly and funny little story about a meteor and a dinosaur.

Watching demos of a specific platfrom is a good way to experience its real capabilities, and this one is quite impressive for the Spectrum.

I love the smell of fresh floppies in the morning

It has been more than 30 years since I used X-Copy. How magical the waiting time was while copying a floppy. Will the game work? Are there no copy errors on any disk?

I just discovered this. Does anyone know Scala MultiMedia? This looks quite awesome for 1994. I want to do all my future Powerpoints with this

I don't want to do any Powerpoints at all, but if I have to, I want to do it on a 40 year old computer with a 30 year old software on a 14'' CRT.
