I am posting this due to the wonderful enthusiasm of the developer in regards to accessibility. When I asked if this app is accessible with Talkback, this was the response I received.

"Comment from Hakanft on R/Android

Thanks for asking — and that's a really important point!

The app was built using React Native (with Expo), so it should support basic TalkBack functionality out of the box. However, I haven’t fully optimized or tested it for screen reader accessibility yet. 🙁

Your question made me realize I need to improve this — and I will! If you're open to sharing feedback after trying it, I'd truly appreciate it."

The app itself is not only a great idea but can be extremely helpful. It is a fun way to gauge your water intake and ensure that you are drinking enough water each day. It also works with twenty-nine languages! Below is the full discussion on Reddit, ttcomplete with IOS and Android links.

I might have found the issue! There's this app called AI Input, which is supposed to help you use AI to write. So, since I assume it works through the open input method, I tried uninstalling it, since it never seemed to work anyway. And, knock on tin, because that sounds more interesting than wood, but nothing has crashed yet!

Hey everyone!
Quick question for any blind or visually impaired users out there—how’s the accessibility of Sonos products these days? Especially the Sonos app? Last time I checked, it had some accessibility issues. Just wondering if things have improved. Can you fully use it with VoiceOver or TalkBack?

Would love to hear your experience!

#talkback #deaktivieren #android #hilfe #technikfrust #smartphoneaccessibility

Question for Android users who use or used Samsung. What is the navigation gesture to go back? While talkback is on? I don't mean the three buttons that are the alternative, but the gestures that are by default, I think. I was asked. I'd be grateful if someone could answer this one. Thank you. #Android #A11Y #Talkback #Samsung

I thought that some of you might find this interesting, since so many in the Fediverse genuinely care about accessibility.

I am copying this from a friend, because I can't share it the regular way. I have added a few extra tags so that both the blind and sighted community can be made aware of this wonderful project.

"Broadfork, Boosted from @KuJoe: For those of you on mobile (and desktop) who find it difficult to write alt text for images you upload, I’ve built a simple website to do it for you.

It’s very basic right now, but it uses Google’s Gemini AI to write the alt text for images you upload.

Current testing indicates I probably need to dial it back to make the alt text less detailed, but if you’d like to try it out and see if it works for you then feel free:

Do any other #talkback users on #Pixel or other phones experience issues with Talkback and #gemini stepping on each other when wearing earbuds? For example, if I attempt to bring up the assistant while wearing my airpods, Talkback will begin yammering. I can't issue any voice commands until Talkback stops speaking. Now, seemingly after Speech Recognition & Synthesis was updated a few days ago, I can't hear Gemini Live through earbuds when Talkback is running.
