I have a bruised and hemorrhaged spot on my forearm that I think is senile purpura caused by bumping my aging skin into a tree during a recent hike. I will find out tomorrow when I see a dermatologist. I think senile purpura is probably the best kind of senility to have.

Still at it. That's coming up to 3 weeks now. The crew has diminished from about 50 to around 15. As a 76-year-old, I'm proud to be considered one of the "hard core" of survivors who warrant keeping on (the median age of the crew would be well under half my age).
I've been determined to give a good account of myself, because I don't want to be an excuse for ageism, but rather proof that age need not be a barrier to working effectively.
